What sails from here
The port's cruise line is Margaritaville at Sea, sailing the ship Paradise. Its two-night getaways from Palm Beach go to Freeport on Grand Bahama Island or Nassau. On the Freeport trip, the ship leaves at about 3:30 p.m., spends a full day in Freeport, and is back in Palm Beach at about 8 a.m. on the third day. Times vary by sailing, so check your booking.
Where the terminal is
Port of Palm Beach, 1 East 11th Street, Riviera Beach, FL 33404. The nearest I-95 exits are Exit 74 (45th Street) and Exit 76 (Blue Heron Boulevard).
Before you sail
- Be early. The port says terminal doors close promptly at 3:00 p.m., and late arrivals are refused boarding as no-shows and may face cancellation penalties.
- Wait in comfort. Boarding starts once the previous passengers have left and the ship clears U.S. Customs; you can wait in the air-conditioned terminal.
- Don't pack drinks. The port says beverages, alcohol, weapons and illegal drugs aren't permitted on the ships.
- Parking and documents: rules and rates change, so check the cruise line's and the port's current information before you go.
Where to stay the night before
Singer Island and Riviera Beach are the closest areas to the terminal, and downtown West Palm Beach is a short drive south. Compare areas in where to stay, and see beaches if you're adding a day on land.
